Inspired by the sculptural lines of big-engined supercars, the muscular case is hewn from solid titanium for the best possible strength-to-weight ratio. Forged at 850 degrees in an 800-ton press, it is engineered so precisely that when the two halves are bolted together, the seam is all but invisible.

The screen, the camera lens and flash are all protected by sapphire crystal so hard that it must be cut and polished by diamond-tipped tools. The ear pillow is made from the same ceramic material that protects the Space Shuttle. Even the logo is made from a material used to strengthen industrial drill bits.
